The University of South Carolina will host a free USA Track & Field South Carolina (USATFSC) clinic for prospective officials. If you are interested in becoming a USATF Official, then be all means please join us for this free clinic.

The first half of the clinic (12:30 pm – 3:30 pm) will be a mixture of classroom and demonstration for the field and track events in a round robin format. It will be led by experienced officials. The objective is to provide basic knowledge of track and field events. The clinic will include a review of the necessary steps to become a USATF certified official. We will review the application process, review rules, explain how to do the background check and SafeSport training.
The second half of the clinic (3:30 pm – 5:30 pm) will allow attendees to complete the rules review (open book) necessary for certification. Attendees who choose to stay and complete the rules review will have one of the major steps to certification completed.

There is a parking lot in front of the building, if that is full you may park in the Bates Dorm lot across Whaley St. Do not park in 24 hour tow away reserved spaces. Enter through the main glass doors under the awning.
As a certified official, you would also be eligible to officiate at Collegiate, USATF, and High School meets.
