USATF Level 1 Coaching School – January 2025!
Andrew Allden is leading the highly regarded USATF Level 1 coaching school on January 11 and 12, 2025. This is an in-person school and will be hosted in Davidson, NC. The location is just over the stateline and is easily reachable from I-77. This course will utilize the new curriculum. This will be only the second in-person Level I school using the new curriculum and the first on the East Coast. If you have previously taken an L1 and it is expiring–or you simply want to update or refresh your knowledge–you can retake the course.

The cornerstone of the USATF Coaching Education Program, the 22-hour training is segmented into multiple modules (Developmental Coaching, Level 1 Sport Science, Event Specific Training, & Exam) and prepares an individual to coach at the junior age, high school, and club division levels. USATF membership and at least 18 years of age required to enroll.  If you are looking to take specialist USATF courses at level 2 or beyond, you will need to have completed this course.

Recertification can be achieved by retaking your LI online, taking a USATF online campus course, or taking L2. The online courses are about to add a specialist course in race walking, one of USATF-SC’s strongest areas. The course is self-paced online study and features a lot of videos of our state’s race walkers in action.
