Committee Purpose
The Long Distance Running (LDR) Committee is tasked with promoting Long Distance Running (LDR) within the State of South Carolina, and hopefully increasing USATF South Carolina adult memberships.
The Committee achieve their goals by hosting several hosting several LDR events that serve as USATF South Carolina LDR Championships.
For example, each Spring the Committee partners with an existing race to host the 10k Road Race Championship, while in the Fall they partner with an existing race to host the Half-Marathon Road Race Championships.
To attract new adult members, prizes are awarded to top finishers in many races.
